To comply with relevant national standards and the retrieval and evaluation data specifications of China Academic Journals (CD-ROM Edition), submissions of Nonferrous Metals must adhere to the following requirements:

(1) Manuscript Formatting, Length, and Font
Manuscripts should be formatted in a single column with font size set to "Small 4" and line spacing at 1.5 for ease of editing. All numbers and symbols in figures must be clearly legible to avoid errors.

(2) Title, Abstract, and Keywords
The title should be concise and precise, with the Chinese title generally not exceeding 20 characters. The manuscript must include a Chinese abstract of 300500 words, which should be independent and self-contained. The English abstract should be in an extended format, with a length of 600–800 words. The Chinese abstract will remain unchanged and need not correspond verbatim to the English abstract. Abstracts should not include figures, tables, chemical structural formulas, non-standard symbols, abbreviations, or specialized terms. Provide 58 keywords reflecting the main content, separated by semicolons.

(3) Title, Author Names, and Institutional Affiliations
Author names should appear below the title, followed by institutional affiliations. Multiple authors should be separated by commas. Authors from different institutions should be marked with distinct superscript numbers, while authors from the same institution may omit such markers. Universities must specify the college, department, or institute. The full address (city, province, and postal code) must be provided, with provincial names required for non-municipal cities. For detailed formatting, please refer to recently published articles.

(4) Chinese Library Classification Numbers
To facilitate subject-based clustering and retrieval, authors must classify their papers according to the Chinese Library Classification System (Fifth Edition, 2010). Papers may include 1–3 classification numbers, separated by semicolons.

(5) Funded Projects
Research supported by funding should indicate the project type and number in a footnote on the first page. Multiple projects may be listed sequentially, separated by semicolons.

(6) Headings in the Main Text
Headings should be numbered with Arabic numerals in the following hierarchical format:
Level 1: 1, 2, 3…
Level 2: 2.1, 2.2, 2.3…
Level 3: 2.1.1, 2.1.2, 2.1.3…
The introduction does not require a heading. Conclusions are preferably listed as 1), 2), 3)…

(7) Figures and Tables
Figures and tables should be carefully selected and concise. If a figure and a table convey the same information, only one should be included. Each paper should generally contain no more than five figures or photos, which must be legible in black-and-white print. Coordinate graphs should be created using Origin software to ensure editability. All axes must clearly display the physical quantity name, symbol, and unit, separated by slashes. Figures and tables must be labeled in Chinese. Original high-resolution images are required for photographs.

(8) Units and Font Styles
Physical quantities must use the International System of Units (SI). Unit symbols should be in upright font, while quantity symbols must be italicized. Variable alphanumeric subscripts should also be italicized. Superscripts and subscripts must be clearly distinguishable.

(9) References
References should follow the sequential numbering system, with journal names written in full.
