Publisher

The publishing unit of this journal is the Editorial Office of Nonferrous Metals, which is part of BGRIMM Technology Group.

BGRIMM Technology Group (formerly Beijing General Research Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, hereinafter referred to as BGRIMM) was established in 1956 and is currently under the administration of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC). Its core businesses include engineering and technical services related to the development and utilization of mineral resources, advanced material technology and products, as well as the recycling of mineral resources and environmental protection. It is the largest comprehensive research and design institution in China, primarily focusing on mining and metallurgical science and engineering technology. Headquartered in Beijing, it comprises 12 research institutes/centers, 1 engineering company, 16 wholly-owned and holding subsidiaries (including 3 listed companies), and a Southwest Branch. The group relies on more than ten national-level technological innovation platforms, including the State Key Laboratory of Mineral Processing Science and Technology and the State Key Laboratory of Intelligent Optimization Manufacturing for Mining and Metallurgical Processes. It holds Class A qualifications in engineering consulting, engineering design, engineering supervision, and safety assessment, and possesses qualifications for foreign engineering contracting and self-operated import and export rights, with its products and technologies exported to over 50 countries and regions. BGRIMM has the authority to grant master's degrees in five primary disciplines/specialized fields: Mining Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Electronic Information. It is a pilot unit for joint doctoral training approved by the Ministry of Education and has a post-doctoral scientific research workstation. It sponsors and publishes eight major scientific and technological journals, covering the entire R&D chain of mineral resource development and utilization, including mining, mineral processing, metallurgy, automation, environmental protection, intellectualization, advanced manufacturing, analytical testing, and new materials.

The group houses a professional journal publishing team, tasked with disseminating academic achievements in the industry and empowering innovation in science and technology industries. It core-operates seven Chinese scientific and technological journals and one English scientific and technological journal (collectively known as the BGRIMM Journal Cluster), building a multi-dimensional academic communication matrix covering the entire chain of the mining and metallurgy field. The journal cluster brings together top-tier scientific and technological core strengths in the industry, forming a dual-wheel-driven authoritative academic support system consisting of a "senior advisory team of more than 30 academicians from the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Chinese Academy of Sciences + an editorial board team of over 400 renowned experts and scholars." It also possesses a dedicated editorial, review, and journal publishing management team with high quality, strong professional backgrounds, and extensive experience. The BGRIMM Journal Cluster, rooted in the forefront of the nonferrous metals industry, empowers innovation and development in the mining and metallurgy field.
